What is difference between CNC turning and CNC milling?

 CNC milling
CNC turning
CNC turning is used to process the rotary part. The part is clamped on the spindle of the machine tool by a three-jaw chuck, and is rotated at a high speed. Then, a turning tool is used to turn the product along the busbar of the rotary body. Turning is suitable for machining rotary surfaces. Most workpieces with a rotary surface can be machined by turning methods, such as inner and outer cylindrical surfaces, inner and outer conical surfaces, end surfaces, grooves, threads and rotary forming surfaces, etc.

CNC milling fixes the blank and uses a high-speed rotating milling cutter to cut the desired shape and features. Traditional CNC milling is used more for simple outline features such as milling contours and grooves. CNC milling machines can handle complex shapes and features. The boring and milling machining center can carry out three-axis or multi-axis milling and boring processing for machining, dies, inspection tools, tires, thin-walled complex surfaces, artificial prostheses, blades, etc.
