How to choose turning tools when CNC turning stainless steel?

With YW1, YW2 turning tools, W2 hardness ≥ 91.0 wear resistance is second only to W1, but its use of high strength, can withstand a larger impact load, suitable for heat-resistant steel high manganese steel stainless steel and advanced alloy steel rough Semi-finishing machining, also suitable for ordinary steel and cast steel.

For machining 304, 316 stainless steel parts, it is best to use YG8 tungsten cobalt alloy or YW1, YW2, YW3 tungsten cobalt niobium alloy cutter head. Different alloy cutter heads can be selected according to the specific conditions:

YG8 (K20K30) hardness ≥ 90 is suitable for rough machining of cast iron and non-ferrous metals, and is also suitable for rough machining of stainless steel.

YW1 (M10) hardness ≥ 91.5 for heat-resistant steel, hard steel, stainless steel and alloy steel and other difficult-to-machine steel processing, but also for ordinary steel, cast iron processing.

YW2 (M20) hardness ≥ 90.5 is suitable for the processing of refractory steels such as heat-resistant steels, high-manganese steels, stainless steels, and alloy steels, as well as processing of ordinary steels and cast irons.

YW3 (M10M20) hardness ≥92 is used for the finishing and semi-finishing of stainless steel, alloy steel, high strength steel and ultra high strength steel. It can also be roughed with low impact.
